By the Taiwan Labour Front to inherit the history and experience of the labor movement.

In the recent twenty-five years, Taiwan Labor Front left us memories with a lot of marvelous moments. They have been witnessing all ups and downs of Taiwan’s social movement. Actually, it also is a historical miniature of the Taiwan’s development of democracy. As stated by Sun Youlian, who is current Taiwan Labor Front’s Secretary-General, “Different domains have different conversation and it will exert different impact on our society”. In the past twenty-five years, Taiwan Labor Front were playing an important role of propagating education and inspiration on the progression of labor movement, so they had been accumulating profound “revolutionary emotions” with a lot of unions. These “revolutionary emotions” had reflected at early stage of all kinds of demonstrations since the colors and the flags of Taiwan Labor Front waved by the members of union and then spreading to the next generation. Yet, along with the growing of union’s autonomation, the basic structure of mobilization from the labor movements is changed and that is replaced by the unions which means the self-consciousness of unions has formed. Union's era is come as well as it is a time for them to shine.

In the past twenty-five years, Taiwan Labor Front nurtured many leaders with remarkable abilities and extraordinary characteristics, they haven’t merely established the autonomation of their own union, but also showing their passion in the problems of labor policy and social reform. However, in the past twenty-five years, Taiwan Labor Front always changed their internal structure with the development of politics, society and labor movement while they have been holding their core values all along, no any changes. Taiwan Labor Front have been joining forces with other powerful unions in different social movements to boost the progress of Taiwan society without any breaks.

“On the Breaking Out and Advancing of the Labor Movement in Taiwan”, the book has recorded the history of golden era of Taiwan’s social movement and labor movement. It allows you to discover the beginning of labor movements and to explore the story of Taiwan’s labor movements, in which included the all highs and lows of the Taiwan’s labor forces policies. That was a great book and you shouldn’t miss it out.
